Since this is my first post, I would like to introduce myself a little bit.

I’m an entrepreneur that have been in software development business for more than 6 years.

I have natural passion about technology in general and Computer Software / System particularly. I’ve been developing application using Microsoft .NET Technology (C#) since it’s first release.

There are several application that I made utilizing Web Service, ADO.NET, Multi-Threading, MS SQL Server Strore Procedure.

I’ve started build my own IT Development Team in 2002 and also been hired as a Senior Software Associate for PT Freeport Indonesia located in remote area of Irian Jaya Island. I’ve also develop some applications for PT ANZ Panin Bank in Jakarta.

Currently I’m supervising the implementation of Linux distribution in a Local Company PT Printing Industri Mahkota Maju. This is quite a challenging task since most of my experience involved with Microsoft System therefore I don’t have any experience with Linux System.

First, I choose the Ubuntu 6.10 and successfully installed it in DELL OptiFlex GX150 (Pentium III 1.0 Ghz, 512 MB SDRAM, 80 GB HDD).

Next, I try to install the OpenSUSE 10.2 using network / remote installation method. Unfortunately I’m still struggling, since I can’t make the mini.iso boot cd see my Windows Shared forlder which contain the full dvd iso of the OpenSUSE 10.2.

Seems like another time to use google to search for more ‘how to’ to solve my problem installing the OpenSUSE 10.2 using network installation method. I’ll post another update regarding this process at latter time.
